Hope at Hand- August 2019
Members met at the Hope at Hand Headquarters to help prep materials that the organization uses during their Creative Writing sessions. These sessions help local at-risk youth express themselves and look towards their futures.
World Polio Day - October 2019
Renaissance Jax Robotics Competition- February 2020
Members met at the Prime Osborne Convention Center to volunteer their time at the First Lego League Regional Championship. Students of all ages came with their robots to show off all of their hard work. We were able to help as Scorekeepers and Judges throughout the day.
Social Distancing Handbook- April 2020- Present
During the "Quarantined" time away from regular meetings, Town Center Rotaract members decided to create a "Social Distancing Handbook" that gave information regarding everything from what exactly COVID-19 is, local organizations that still need help during a Pandemic and how to help them, and even fun ways to stay busy inside. JAXPal Virtual Fundraiser- May 2020
Members created an online fundraiser for JAXPal through Facebook. The Police Athletic League in Jacksonville strives to build positive relationships between law enforcement and the youth in our community. They have after school programs that help local children with academics, athletics, and more. Town Center Rotaract matched the $110 that was raised through the online fundraiser, for a total of $220 directly helping the youth in Jacksonville.
